RICS celebrates UN Day, 24th Oct 2007

RICS celebrated UN Day on the 24th October 2007. The day started with Mr Gary Tan, our headmaster reading the UN Day Message by the Secretary General of the UN. Mr Ban Ki Moon. Following that, Ms Chan shared with the school about the history and purpose for the formation of the UN.

The students also participated in the pyramid game on topics related to the UN. The laughter in the Multi-Purpose Hall indicated that the students thoroughly enjoyed the programme. Gryphon house emerged victorious in the game, with Tigers, Unicorns and Lions taking the 2nd-4th placings respectively. Students also participated in the Essay Competition where they wrote an essay on the topic : Global Health - A Critical Component to Development. The scores from the competitions will be added on to the House scores, culminating in the RICS Sports Meet in 2008.
